Back to Haifa

In February and March of 2006, I was invited back to the Bahá’í World Centre in Haifa, Israel to assist in the Archives Office for 6 weeks. I had previously spent 6.5 years there, during two different periods of service, between 1988 and 1991, and between 2000 and 2004.

Prenatal pictures

On 2 December, the doctor confirmed our suspicions: we're pregnant! We heard the heartbeat and it was racing at 171 beats / minutes, which is completely normal.


6 weeks later, the baby is starting to look more like a baby! It even waved its little arms and legs around.

At 23 weeks, it is hard to see the whole baby in one image, but here it is, above, and a little closer, below. Haven't figured out if it has mommy or daddy's nose....

So far, so good! And this child does move. I always thought it would be rather bizarre to have another creature inside of me, moving around. And yeah, it is, but it really begins the bonding process.

Three and a half more months to go!
