Ailsa and Dale Leftwich

And with the Hedleys over New Years...

Our first morning in High River, we went to the home of my cousin Blaine and Pauline, with most of my family, as well as several other Treloars (Aunt Wilma, Cam & Donna and her daughter, whose name I have completely forgotten, sadly).

They live west of High River, where the view isn't too shabby:

Cam and Donna and daughter

Leila, Aleta and their new friend

Spying on Mom, David and Pauline

The kids played on the stairs for awhile and wore right out.

Budding musicians, Sutherland and Aleta

Momma and Poppa

Another highlight of our visit included a visit with my high school friends Meryl and Van (hadn't seen Van in almost 20 years!), and Van's kids Karl and Thor

Happy New Year!

Christmas 2007

You might not know it from all the pictures I took at Christmas with the Leftwich clan, but there were a few other people besides Aleta and Sebastian present. Alas, I took very few photos of anybody but these two.
Mmmm

What a little clown!

Psst, Sebastian, check out my bellybutton!

Apparently they weren't the only ones who wanted to (and could) sit in those little chairs
There are four people in this photo: Sebastian and his great-grandma, and Aleta and her grandma

A busy girl - November & December

We've been off travelling much of the last month and a half and I haven't had a chance to get to posting much in the blog lately. Also, this little girl keeps us busy. Or should I say, she keeps herself busy...

They finally let me wash dishes!

Markers don't just draw on paper, they show up on fridges and floors and, well, anywhere I want them to!

After the first time washing dishes, it became clear that I could be trusted on a chair in front of the sink.

Helping Mom bake, but I'm not sure why she put that cookbook in front of me; I haven't mastered reading cookbooks yet.
And then there's Dad, he needed some help replacing the kitchen faucet. I don't know what they would do without me to keep them on task.
I even tried to get Dad's workshirt on so I could help him sell some seed, but I think I need a smaller size.

After all that work, time for a nap.
