Aleta playing water drums in Grandma's rainwater

Mom's best friend from Darlingford, Ruth, her sister Jean (who was my Aunt Donna's friend), and Mom's cousin Sharon had come out for Uncle Leonard's funeral. We had a visit with them as well as Aunt Donna and Uncle Arnie.

Mimi and Aleta spent a long time mowing the grass in Darren and Naghmeh's backyard manually. It's a good way to keep the grass trimmed while a) reducing the amount of fossil fuels or electricity spent by the use of a gas or electric lawnmower, and b) entertaining the little ones.

Simin, Naghmeh's mother, was visiting from her home in Bucaramanga, Colombia, for the summer.
